Beautiful dinner plate with a gorgeous deep blue crest in the centre.
Made by Au Vase Etrusque Paris. Louis Damon (1860-1947) became the owner of the "Au Vase Etrusque" store at 20 rue Malesherbes in Paris in 1887 at the age of 27. A great creative, he had a decoration workshop and made his own porcelain to sell.
From the maker's mark we can precisely date this plate to be from between 1889-1905. During this time Louis Damon signed his creations LDamon, LDamon / Parus or DAMON / PARIS sometimes followed by the address 20, Boulevard Malesherbes as shown on this plate.
